Alannah Hoppner Fine Art Painting

At the moment my painting seems quite central, however, the main focus was to deepen and brighten colour. Once dried I'll be working on perspective and distance which should hopefully fix my central problem

Close up of new paintings started in the new semester of my final year at university. I love using bright contemporary colours and have been inspired by the painterly techniques practiced by Artist Peter Doig

I have been very interested in symbols of non European cultures, particularly native American. The hopi indians used decomposed and reconstructed images of serpents and birds (which were considered scared) and used them for supreme objects of worship. I have been inspired by texts composed by Aby Warburg.
